Precision Construction in Demanding Environments
Square One Ltd. is a local construction firm known for delivering high end projects with careful attention to detail. Working across design, planning, and property development, the company has built a reputation around a simple principle reflected in its philosophy: if something is not executed correctly the first time, the process begins again from square one. That discipline becomes especially important in environments where expectations are high and margin for error is minimal.
Working Within Operational Constraints
The project was captured within an active construction site and regulated airspace surrounding the island. Each drone flight required careful planning to avoid restricted zones and adapt to changing weather and limited access. Because the project was captured across multiple visits rather than daily coverage, each flight focused on documenting key stages of the build. This ensured the progression of the pool’s construction could be clearly understood from above without interrupting ongoing work.
Building on a Private Island
The project took place at Villa Evangeline, a beachfront estate located on Jumby Bay Island. Positioned on the eastern edge of the island, the property sits within a landscape defined by preserved vegetation, open lawns, and uninterrupted ocean views. Construction on Jumby Bay operates under unique logistical constraints. Every material required for a project must be transported by barge from mainland Antigua & Barbuda, adding complexity to scheduling, coordination, and execution. Within this environment, Square One undertook the renovation and expansion of the estate’s central pool.
Aerial Perspective Without Interruption
The project centred on major rehabilitation works at V.C. Bird International Airport, a critical aviation gateway for the region. Scope included the construction of a new aircraft turning bay and the resurfacing of the existing runway, aligning the facility with standards set by the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority and the International Civil Aviation Organization. These upgrades were designed to enhance safety and operational efficiency within an active, highly regulated airspace.
A Record of Transformation
Spencer Branding Studio was brought in to document the project as it unfolded. The objective was to capture the full progression of the build over time. Using aerial photography and video, the site was documented through multiple phases, from structural groundwork and forming to the installation of tile and final completion. The resulting visuals provide Square One with a long term record of the process and a library of assets for marketing, proposals, and future project presentations.
Result
The final body of work preserves the transformation of the site from raw construction to finished environment. It provides Square One with a visual narrative that reflects the scale, logistics, and craftsmanship behind the project. Seen from above, the progression reveals not only how the pool was built, but how a complex idea becomes a place people will ultimately inhabit and enjoy.
